I noticed a spot on my husbands back. I’m not sure how long it’s been there but I’m super concerned about this one. He still won’t see a derm I don’t know if it’s a mole or something else. Is it concerning? It has a yellowish tan raised circle then a flat pink area.. it is flaky because when I slightly scratched it, the skin easily flaked off.. I know it isn’t the best picture but he won’t let me take many
Dr. Andrei Meglei's answer: This "mole" doesn't look concerning because it lacks asymmetry, it has 1 brown shade and clear borders. I recommend taking a clear photo of it now and again in 6 months. If there are any visible changes, it's a reason to see a dermatologist for a personal examination with a dermoscope.
